ALBERTON – There has been an increase in housebreaking. People must be vigilant and aware.
The community should be aware that robberies with firearms has increased and that criminals could be walking the streets awaiting their next victim. SAPS has implemented a plan of action by increasing their visibility in the area.
School students should be advised that since the schools have re-opened, there has been an increase of cellphone robberies. The SAPS asks that the school students leave their phones at home or to not flaunt having a phone when walking home from school.
At shopping malls people should not leave valuables or cash in their cars, leading to theft from a motor vehicle.
