AKA misses ‘Black Coffee apology’ deadline

It seems AKA does not forget nor back down from a challenge.

Do you remember when AKA and Black Coffee threw jabs at each other over Coffee’s criticism of South African hip hop artists?

If not, let us remind you; Black Coffee said SA hip hop artists should stop throwing shade at each other on Twitter and make music.

It didn’t end there, he then compared SA hip hop with American, giving Meek Mill and Drake as an example of how to deal with beef. AKA could not excuse Coffee’s comments, so he threw shade right back at him.

Other artists such as Slikour, Cassper Nyovest and DJ Euphonik also joined in the discussion. Euphonik gave AKA two weeks to apologise to Black Coffee for his comments. We thought it was over, until AKA reminded Euphonik about the two weeks’ time frame to apologise, which he didn’t.

Euphonik, however, did not weigh much into it.

So, who won? Is it AKA for proving Euphonik wrong, or Euphonik for not really entertaining the ‘issue’? You decide.

If you think AKA won, we won’t blame you, the guy recently posted tweets about his music’s success as he has been nominated in four categories at the AFRIMMAs and will be performing in Dallas in October. He tweeted:
