The singer gives an inside look at her new album in the second season of her hit show.

Ever wondered what it takes to create an album? Well, local songstress, Lira, will take viewers on an inside look at how she created her latest album ‘Born Free’ in the second season of her hit TV show ‘Lira Dreamchaser’.

Dubbed ‘Lira Dreamchaser 2: Born Free’, the star lets viewers enter the studio where she created her critically-acclaimed new album ‘Born Free’ in a 15-episode season which premieres on Fox Life this on the 3rd of May 2017.

Here, we get an insight into the production, song writing process and the touring that comes with being one of Africa’s biggest stars. Lira opens her heart out to us, and unpacks each song of the album – from her inspirations, to the very moment a song is born. The songstress showcases the fact that studio life can be a tedious and tiring journey. With raw and uncut footage, Lira wants viewers to see just how much stress and hard work goes into this part of a musician’s career as they create the songs that identify with thousands across the country.

“Defining freedom for myself was the reason behind pursuing this body of work. I am beyond excited to share this story with viewers – the joys, the challenges, the effort and experiences and ultimately chasing the dream!” Lira says on the journey.

For seven weeks, two brand new episodes will premiere back-to-back which all lead to an epic one-hour season finale on Wednesdays at 20h10. Besides the new season, Lira can also currently be seen on the second season of The Voice South Africa every Sunday at 17h30 on M-Net.

Lira is one of the greatest musicians in the country and we’re really excited to get an inside look at her life as a musician. The idea behind the show is different, exciting and is bound to make some great television. This is a show we’re really excited to watch.
