SABC pulls a ‘Riky Rick’, cuts Koko Lydia’s speech on live TV
Koko Lydia was given a life achievement award and while audiences watched live, her mic was rudely cut off.

For years she has played different characters and more recently, she can be seen on SABC1’s Skeem Saam. So when actress Lydia Molokgoshi fondly known as Koko Lydia’s mic was abruptly cut off while she was being honoured, viewers at home were shocked.
Here was a TV veteran being disrespected on live TV on favour of the lotto draw. Twitter was having none of it.
