Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has congratulated coach Gavin Hunt and Bidvest Wits for winning the 2016/17 Absa Premiership title.

The students beat Polokwane City 2-0 at Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday night to clinch their maiden Absa Premiership title.

“I would like to congratulate ‘Huntie’ for winning his fourth league title. It was a healthy and competitive race and he deserves the title.”

“This is the beauty of football, let’s do it again next season,” Mosimane told the club’s website.

Sundowns will be hoping to retain the second spot when they host Highlands Park in the last league game of the season on Saturday, May 27.

The Brazilians currently lead third place Cape Town City by one point going into the last games of the 2016/17 season.
