As reported by Phakaaathi earlier, the 16-year-old forward is said to be on Pitso Motsimane’s wanted list.
Mabunda was impressed by the youngster displays during the 1-1 draw at Phillip Omondi Stadium on Saturday. After the game, the Sundowns midfielder posted a pic of himself with Okelo on his official Facebook account.
“Meet this young sensation ‘Allan Okello’. At the age of 16, he is already competing at the highest level of football in the continent. I pray that God protect and preserve him from all attacks that may destabilise his hustle in the football industry,” wrote Mabunda on his Facebook account.
“May his career be guarded by angelic hosts. I believe this boy is going to be a very valuable asset to come out of this continent by the grace of Jehovah.
“Reveal yourself Lord in his life and career so that his faith in You may be increased. You are a God of possibilities, and I believe that your grace is available for those who believe.”
Following the 1-1 draw against KCCA, Sundowns are through to the group stages of the Caf Champions League.
The draw for the group stages is set to be made on Tuesday.
