Jeff Radebe ‘ready to serve’ as ANC president

He is competing with Ramaphosa, Mbete, Dlamini-Zuma, Sisulu and the ever-hopeful Mathews Phosa.


ANC head of policy and Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe has revealed he is ready to lead the ANC after Jacob Zuma steps down in December.

Other ANC leaders gunning for the top job include ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa, party chairperson Baleka Mbete, NEC members Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Lindiwe Sisulu.

The party is expected to hold its elective congress in December where new leadership will be elected.

On Monday evening Radebe entered the fray while delivering the Nelson Mandela lecture in Nellmapius in Pretoria.

Twitter went ballistic over the news.
