Man found with stolen goods arrested in Tshwane

The 38-year-old man has been linked to a recent house robbery that took place at a plot in Koedoe street.


A 38-year-old-man from Laezonia near Erasmia, south of Pretoria, was arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen items on Tuesday.

According to Erasmia communication officer Tumisang Moloto, the man was arrested on Tuesday at his plot in Scheeper street, Laezonia.

Moloto said the police followed up information on Tuesday about a man allegedly suspected of being involved in last week’s Saturday house robbery at the plot in Koedoe street.

“Information led the police to the suspect’s place of residence and a plasma TV, camera, jewellery and a .38 calibre revolver firearm were among some of the items recovered,” Moloto said.

Moloto said the suspect would appear before the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court soon.

“A case of possession of supected stolen property and unlicensed firearm has been opened at Erasmia for further police investigation,” said Moloto.
