Malema claims Mngxitama still owes Mpofu money
According to the EFF leader, the BLF founder's debts drove him into the arms of the Guptas.

EFF leader Julius Malema has shared how he thinks BLF leader and former EFF member Andile Mngxitama ended up with the Guptas.
Malema claimed Mngxitama does not believe in any of the things he says about President Jacob Zuma and the Gupta family, saying he allegedly does it all only for money.
In an interview with News24, Malema said Mngxitama’s troubles started when his houses were being repossessed.
“He came to me but I didn’t have money. I couldn’t help him. He took money from Dali Mpofu, but I think that was still not enough. He’s still owing them and he’s still owing the EFF for those cases he lost in Pretoria against the EFF. The guy was swimming in a pool of debt,” he said.
Malema said Mngxitama may have shared his financial problems with people who were close to the Guptas.
“That’s how they captured him.”
Apparently Mngxitama is not who he used to be. He has changed so much one would think he’s gone crazy and Malema blames it all on poverty.
“It’s not him, that’s what poverty can do to people. That’s what debt can do to people.”
Malema argued that Mngxitama, however, can be the most reasonable person one can have a conversation with. He only becomes unreasonable when he takes matters personally, said Malema, further sharing how the BLF leader recently snubbed Mbuyiseni Ndlozi at a coffee shop in Braamfontein.
Mngxitama apparently refused to shake Ndlozi’s hand when he tried to greet him and said he did not want to greet a London “what what”.
The story shook Malema, who said Mngxitama was taking things too personally.
“To take it personal like that, it’s like Andile is saying, ‘You’re trying to get rid of people who are looking after me,’ and it’s personal like that.
“It’s not ideological, it’s not political, it is personal and the only thing I can think of is the things that were happening in his life.
“I tell you, he went to whisper in some wrong person’s ear and that person had a proximity to resources and they said he’s our chap. That’s how they finished him,” he said.
Mngxitama responded on Twitter on Monday that he was indeed broke, just like millions of other black South Africans.
“Only agents of white monopoly capital aren’t broke,” he said.
