The man attacked the woman and bit her arm before grabbing her cellphone and fleeing.

Almost one year later, a bite-sized portion of justice was served to a woman who was robbed of her cellphone after being bitten by the thief on August 20, 2016, reports the South Coast Herald.

The Park Rynie, on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, businesswoman was at her place of business in Convent Road when Luvuyo Njabulo Swana, 24, approached her with a bottle in hand and demanded she hand over her cellphone.

Swana then attacked the woman and bit her arm before grabbing the phone and fleeing.

Detective Constable Dillon Khamisa of the Scottburgh SAPS Detective Service arrested Swana at a local tavern.

“Swana appeared in the Scottburgh Regional Court on Tuesday, July 4, when he was found guilty of robbery with aggravating circumstances and sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment,” said Scottburgh SAPS spokesperson Captain Vincent Pandarum.

“The Scottburgh SAPS Detective Service Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Kishore Giani, commended Detective Constable Khamisa on the excellent investigation of the case and the resulting conviction and sentence.
