Two dead, five injured in Durban crash
Paramedics found that the driver had suffered major injuries and unfortunately passed away inside the vehicle.

Two people died and five others were injured when a bus collided with two cars at the corner of Leopold and and Grey streets in the Durban city centre on Friday night, paramedics said.
Just after 9pm Rescue Care paramedics responded to the call of an accident, Rescue Care spokesman Garrith Jamieson said.
“On arrival, they found that a bus had collided with two cars. One of the cars then left the roadway coming to rest on the pavement. Three occupants of the car were severely trapped in the wreckage and immediately fire and rescue were called to assist.
One of the passengers was found in a critical condition in the vehicle. Advanced life support paramedics placed the patient on a manual ventilator before rushing her to a nearby hospital.
“Unfortunately, a short while later the patient went into cardiac arrest and despite paramedics and doctors’ efforts the patient passed away. A further six people from the bus and car were also stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.”
At this stage, the events leading up to the collision were unknown and police were investigating, Jamieson said.
