Molefe says he was actually on unpaid leave and did not resign last year.


Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown has appeared in parliament to explain the debacle around reinstated Eskom boss Brian Molefe’s return to the company.

Molefe has responded to the legal papers filed by the DA and EFF to have his reinstatement overturned.

He said he was actually on unpaid leave and had not resigned last year. Brown is currently in parliament, explaining how the confusion around Molefe’s resignantion and early retirement came about.
