Taxi driver flees accident scene

The taxi was fully loaded when the accident occurred

Scores of passengers were left injured and one trapped after a taxi driver in Johannesburg allegedly failed to brake in time and smashed into the rear of a truck on Allandale Road on Wednesday morning, Kempton Express reports.

Emer-G-Med general manager northern operations Jurguen Kotze said the taxi driver was nowhere to be found when emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
