School kids march in Joburg CBD

Cars have been damaged and some shops looted as they marched to the education department.

Motorists driving through the Johannesburg CBD have been cautioned against using Harrison, Simmonds, Sawyer, Bree and Jeppe streets, and also around FNB Bank City and Standard Bank.

This after hundreds of school kids caused chaos by looting shops, damaging vehicles and hurting innocent pedestrians and shop owners.

The school kids were marching to the department of education to hand over a memorandum, in a march that Cosas said it knew nothing about.

SAPS were on scene, trying to bring the situation under control.
