Funds raised for Hofmeyr to meet with Trump over ‘white genocide’
The group wants the incoming US president to impose sanctions against South Africa because of the ANC's alleged attitude towards whites.

Afrikaner-rights activist Steve Hofmeyr may soon have coffee with president-elect of the United States Donald Trump – if his supporters get their wish.
At that coffee table, Trump and Hofmeyr will presumably be joined by farmers’ rights activist Henk van de Graaf.
The topic will be “white genocide” in South Africa, and how the US can impose sanctions against the ANC-led government in relation to this alleged crisis.
However, this will only be possible if something known as the Kommando Support Project can manage to raise at least R100 000. This money will be used to help Hofmeyr and van de Graaf to travel to Washington, DC, according to the campaign’s webpage.
It was started by a man who goes by the name of John-Dex Rudman. Its aim is to persuade Trump that “white genocide” is real in South Africa.
The project has also launched a petition asking Trump to give white people in South Africa their independence. They claim that white people and the Khoi-San people “are the original Natives of South Africa”. They have also claimed, among other places, the Western Cape and Northern Cape as “our land”.
“We claim the Western Cape, South Cape, West Coast, Northern Cape and the previous Boer republics [what was known as the Transvaal and the Orange Free State] as our land.
“We and the Koisan [sic] are the original Natives of South Africa and were here since 1652. No other People were here since Jan Van Riebeeck arrived except the Koisan living from the sea in Western Cape.”
Van de Graaf told the Daily Maverick that their aim is to persuade Trump and other world leaders to sanction the leadership of the ANC for their lack of attention to the problem of farm murders in the country.
Trump has had a lot to say about South Africa over the years and is nothing if not unpredictable. He’s also been accused of putting the interests of white Americans over those of minorities, so there’s no telling what he might do.
In the past he has tweeted that: “I really like Nelson Mandela but South Africa is a crime ridden mess that is just waiting to explode – not a good situation for the people!”
He also wrote: “As I have long been saying, South Africa is a total – and very dangerous – mess.”
