Decision made: Lights out for Witbank

Eskom is cutting power to Emalahleni despite all the detailed negative effect the interruption is likely to have on residents and business.

A final decision has been made on the interruption of bulk electricity supply to Emalahleni Local Municipality, Witbank News reports.

After careful consideration of all the representations and the overall impact of the escalating municipal debt, Eskom has taken a decision to proceed with the contemplated interruption and/or disconnection of bulk electricity supply to Emalahleni Local Municipality.

Eskom hereby notifies all parties who are likely to be materially and adversely affected that the contemplated interruption of bulk supply to Emalahleni Local Municipality will commence on January 23, 2017.
