Dog stabbed in the neck and killed during house robbery

The homeowner had to wash away bloodstains all over the yard.

A robbery at a Ladysmith home in KwaZulu-Natal claimed the life of a 10-year-old Husky dog after it was stabbed in the neck by the perpetrators, Ladysmith Gazette reports.

Homeowner Pops Ramsunder of 78 Tanjore Road woke up to find his beloved dog Romeo dead in the garage of his home.

Pops found blood stains throughout the yard and had to clean his entire yard and wash away all the blood.

“How cruel can people be to stab a dog and just leave it to bleed out like that,” laments the sad pet owner.

A hose pipe, garden fork and spade had been stolen from the yard. In addition, he found that his vehicle had been scratched.

Pops says he is saddened by the loss of his Husky that he had for many years.

He concluded by saying that the copper water pipes at his home were tampered with, leading him to believe that the perpetrators tried to steal them as well, but failed in their attempt.

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) came to the house to take away the Husky’s lifeless body.

This robbery adds to the long list of house robberies and house break-ins that have taken place in the Tanjore Road area.
