About 56 000 mandrax tablets worth R4m were recovered.

Members of the police’s Crime Prevention Unit conducted a stop and search roadblock in Broederstroom, Hartbeespoort, and pulled over a suspicious white bakkie with three men, Kormorant reports.

“As the police members searched the vehicle, they discovered three boxes full of mandrax tablets. The drugs were packed in 56 packets, each containing about 1 000 tablets. The street value is estimated to be around R4 million,” Brits cluster spokesperson Warrant Officer Mpeile Talane said.
