Two arrested following police chase
It is alleged officers found a rifle and ammunition when they searched the vehicle.

Two men were arrested in Bedfordview, Ekurhuleni, following a police chase from Cyrildene, the Bedfordview Edenvale News reports.
Officers from the JMPD’s undercover unit spotted the men driving around in a silver Mercedes-Benz.
“Officers instructed the men to stop their vehicle but the men sped off towards Bedfordview,” said police spokesperson Captain Andre de Jager.

He added that the two men lost control of their vehicle along Kloof Road and were both arrested on the scene.
“During a search of the vehicle, officers found a rifle and ammunition. The serial numbers for the rifle had been filed off,” said Captain de Jager.
The men will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
