Man stabbed to death in hospital’s consultation room

The motive for the killing remains unknown.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly killed a man in a consultation room at Louis Pasteur Hospital in Pretoria Central.

Police spokesperson constable Tumisang Moloto said the deceased was allegedly attacked and stabbed to death on Thursday, the Rekord East reports.

“The incident happened around 1pm, and the victim and the attacker were apparently the only ones in the room,” said Moloto.

“The suspect was disarmed by security following a swift response and the victim sustained multiple stab wounds on the upper body.”

Moloto said the motive for the killing was still unknown.

He said the man was facing a charge of murder and was expected to appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court soon.
