Two men were caught using a cloned card on Tuesday at about 9pm after Marshall Security responded to panic signals from a service station on Chris Hani (Northcoast) Road in KwaZulu-Natal, Northglen News reports.
The suspects had tried to pay at a convenience shop with a fraudulent credit card but had moved on by the time reaction officers arrived.
The men, who were in a silver VW microbus, were spotted at another station along Chris Hani Road. This time they were trying to pay for petrol with the credit card.
The bank’s fraud hotline was called by the security officers, who confirmed to them that the card was cloned. The pair of suspects was arrested and handed over to the police.
