Gang robs business of liquor

A worker was held at gunpoint while the business was robbed.


Seven men robbed a business on Tuesday night, holding a worker at gunpoint in KZN, Northglen News reports.

The woman who was working at the time said that two men came into the business in Effingham Heights and asked her for a drink.

“This was at 9pm, the victim recalled. After the two men, another male ran inside, jumped over the bar counter and pointed a gun at her,” said Warrant Officer Leon Audh, spokesperson for Greenwood Park police.

Four more suspects then entered and ransacked the business of an assortment of alcohol and two cellphones before making a getaway in a silver-grey Corsa and a van.
