Debonairs managers in court for alleged fraud

They allegedly defrauded the company by forging slips that falsely showed some of the stock was transferred to other shops owned by the same owner.

Two managers of a pizza outlet in Birch Acres, on the East Rand, have been arrested in connection with fraud, after about R200 000 disappeared from the store over the holiday period.

Norkem Park police made the arrest at their place of work at Debonairs at Birch Acres Mall on Tuesday at about 10am, Kempton Express reported.

Norkem Park police spokesperson Captain Lesibana Molokomme said the woman, 33, and the man, 38, were appointed as managers in December.

It is alleged they defrauded the company by forging slips that showed some of the stock was transferred to other shops owned by the same owner, when in fact the property was never transferred.
