The gunmen also fired shots and injured two local traffic officials who came unknowingly to the scene in Mpumalanga.

A cash-in-transit driver was shot dead during a heist near Elukwatini CBD in Mpumalanga.

The incident happened around 12.30pm on Monday, Mpumalanga News reported.
