PICS: Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept leaked online

Rumours suggest the company is already working on a production edition, likely toned down but allegedly no smaller than the concept.

Following the range of teaser images and videos that have been making the rounds on the internet, official images of the Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept have finally leaked online.

Formally known as the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, the coupe is more than three feet longer than an S-Class Coupe and even overshadows the Rolls-Royce Wraith by two feet.

The Maybach features gigantic coupe curves; enormous doors opens vertically with a roofline hinge.

The gull-wing doors appear to take inspiration from the recently-retired SLS AMG flagship. The doors could serve as a unique distinguishing feature in the ultra-luxe segment, while dispelling speculation that Maybach had been relegated to serve as a mere branding enhancement for Mercedes’ longest S-Class variant.

Rumours suggest the company is already working on a production edition, likely toned down but allegedly no smaller than the concept.

Since the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 has technically not been revealed by the German brand just yet, no technical specifications are yet available.

The concept will be on display at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
