Stand up even if you’re a ‘she man’, Criselda allegedly tells Univen students

The HIV activist has been accused of saying men who are confused about their sexuality should look between their legs for answers.

HIV activist and Metro FM host Criselda Dudumashe has come under fire again for comments she allegedly made during her presentation at the HE AIDS Gender Based Violence dialogue at the University of Venda in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, on Friday.

According to Facebook user Sandile Ndelu– who shared a message they received from a friend who was at the dialogue – it seems Dudumashe offended members of her audience.

The activist apparently asked all the men in the room to stand up, and allegedly further said even if they were not sure about their sexuality, as long as they had a penis between their legs, they were men, and should stand up.

“Yoh hun…. She was saying the most offensive things…. First it was during a mini dialogue where she said all the men should stand up… Then some remained sitting… Then she went on to say: ‘even if you are a ‘she’ man…as long as you’ve got a dick between your legs you are a man…so stand up’…

“Then during the main dialogue she said ‘all the men should take off their hats for the national anthem…. If you’re confused about being a man, look between your legs.’ When called out on it she said: ‘Do what you will about it….I’m off to lunch.'”

The message divided social media users, with some defending her, saying people were using her recent defence of recently resigned deputy minister Mduduzi Manana to make her look like a bad person, while the rest said they believed she had made the statements.

As the debate on whether she said it raged, another Facebook user, Thalukanyo Victor, who also claimed to have attended the dialogue, allegedly confirmed that Dudumashe did make offensive statements.

“Since I was also a delegate attending the closed dialogue prior her other utterances in the auditorium…she specifically said if u have a penis between your legs even if you are shemales as long as you have a penis you are a man.

“I haven’t felt way offended like that before; my colleagues aired their frustrations and, although I approached her, she never was kind to apologise about it but ignored me flat,” he said.
