WATCH: SA girls are just tough, Charlize Theron tells Trevor Noah

The two talk about how proud they are of each other and their achivements.

South African-born actor Charlize Theron caught up with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show and spoke about her new movie.

Noah told Theron that he cried when she won an Academy Award for best actress for her role in Monster.

“I was like ‘she’s so good’ and all of South Africa was like ‘she’s so amazing and so golden and so good,'” said the comedian.

Theron told Noah that’s exactly what she said when he got the gig to present The Daily Show.

The two went on to talk about Theron’s new movie, Atomic Blonde, set to hit SA movie screens on August 18.

Noah told Theron he had seen her “kicking a**” before, but said he was impressed by the stunts in her new release.

“I feel like South African girls are just tough, there’s something in the water in South Africa,” she said.
