‘I’m too blessed for the toxicity here’: Somizi takes a break from Twitter

The US has recently been blessed with a visit from South African media personality and choreographer Somizi Mhlongo, after he jetted off to New York City with his best friend for what he calls a “bestiecation”.
The former Idols SA judge took to social media to post a series of pictures of himself lounging on a plane, captioned “coming to America”, with entrepreneur and his buddy, Ndo Maleho.
South Africa does not seem to be the only thing Mhlongo needed a break from, as he has also announced that he would be taking a break from Twitter and the “toxic” people who use the social media platform.

Making a small return to the platform, Somizi posted a series of stunning pictures from his vacation and also mentioned how peaceful his life has been since taking a break from Twitter.
He also acknowledged the people on Twitter who always showered him kindness, saying he loves them and they know where they can find him, alluding to his availability and presence on Instagram.
“Wooo hayi its been peaceful without this app… I guess I’m either not strong or some people here are as toxic as fuck….to those that are kind, you know where to find me… I love you but I’m too blessed for the toxicity here,” said Mhlongo.
Recently, the fashionista was due to make an appearance as a guest chef at the relaunch of Garwe restaurant in Harare, but that fell through after the Apostolic Christian Church Council of Zimbabwe made it their mission to ensure he was not granted access into Zimbabwe, due to his sexuality.
