All moms love flowers, and all children love chocolate! If you’re looking for a way to pass the time, why not spend the morning helping your child make these pretty and yummy chocolate flowers?

You will need

  • Bamboo skewers
  • Green paint
  • Floral foam
  • Glass bottle with the label removed
  • Tissue paper
  • Paintbrush or foam brush
  • Thick, colourful cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Khokis
  • Wrapped chocolates
  • Double-sided tape
  • Craft glue
  • Sellotape
  • Print a label from the Internet or get the kids to decorate the label themselves.

Method

  1. Paint the bamboo skewers green and leave them to dry.
  2. Cut a piece of floral foam to fit inside the bottle, cover in tissue paper and place it inside the bottle.
  3. Print the flower templates and cut them out in a size that fits your chocolates. Remember to use sturdy cardboard that’s strong enough to support the chocolates.
  4. Using a khoki, draw small dots around the edges of some of the petals.
  5. Tape the bamboo skewers to the back of the flowers with sellotape.
  6. Apply double-sided tape to the back of the chocolates and stick them on the paper flowers.
  7. Cut a few green leaves and stick them onto the bamboo skewers.
  8. Arrange the flowers.
  9. Complete the arrangement with a ribbon bow.
