What’s on – virtually – in and around Richards Bay and Empangeni

Here is a list of the upcoming virtual fund-raiser events that are all being held for worthy causes

WHILE social distancing regulations have put an end to gatherings and events for the foreseeable future, fund-raisers for the region’s NPOs and charities are going ahead in virtual format.

Here is a list of the upcoming events that are all being held for worthy causes.

Competition fund-raiser for Richards Bay SPCA

IT’S competition time at the Richards Bay SPCA and some wonderful prizes are up for grabs!

Most children love animals and this is the time for parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles to brag about their children or grandchildren.

All you need to do is send a short video clip of your child, grandchild, neice or nephew (aged between 4 and 8 years) explaining in their own words what the SPCA does.

This is a fund-raising initiative for the SPCA and is R100 per entry.

Tickets can be bought at the Richards Bay SPCA office at Bayview Boulevard in Meerensee during working hours (8am – 3pm, Monday – Friday).

All videos will be viewed by the SPCA committee members who will choose a winner.

Competition cut-off date is 31 August.

Support the Women’s Day virtual celebration and raffle

RICHARDS Bay Family Care is holding a fund-raising raffle in commemoration of Women’s Day.

Ticket sales are now open and can be bought until 7 August when the draw will take place.

At a cost of just R20/ticket, entrants will stand a chance to win a beautiful hamper valued at R1 800.

All funds raised from ticket sales will go towards food parcels for families in need.

To buy a ticket, contact Ruchelle on 082 7375266.
