Seven things you should never say to your girlfriend

IT is that time again when we help our lovely brothers keep their girlfriends happy, or should we say help them avoid sleeping on the couch.

Here are the 7 things you should never, no matter what happens, say to your girlfriend……

1. ‘No’ – To her ‘no’ means that you didn’t even listen to what she had to say and that there’s still a chance for her to convince you otherwise. Okay, you’ve got to say ‘no’ to her sometimes, but as long as she’s a fairly reasonable human, you can try and accommodate her or at least phrase your negative answers more gently. Rather say ‘not now’.

2. ‘Please stop singing’ – To her this means that you think that she is very bad singer. And even if she is, you are meant to take it and tell her that her singing is angelic. Show her a funny video instead to distract her or make her forget your insensitivity.

3. ‘You wouldn’t understand’ – Women like to feel important and treasured in a relationship where communication is open. So by saying this, you are offending her. She will feel that you prefer discussing the issue with someone else.

4. ‘What’s your best friend’s name again?’ – This means that you don’t ever listen to her when she speaks. So if you have forgotten, rather ask her why your best friend’s parents gave her that name, crossing fingers she will mention her name or it will come back to you during the conversation.

5. ‘Tessa used to…’- Never by any means possible mention something your ex used to do. Never! Abort mission!

6. ‘I don’t understand why you put on makeup’ – You don’t need to understand it, and no opinion should come from you unless you tell her she looks great.

7. ‘You’re so cute when you snore’ – Women don’t snore!
