Khuzani and Igcokama Elisha end their violent feud

KZN Arts MEC Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi was a victorious referee and ended the long going dispute between two maskandi giants

KZN MEC for Arts and Culture MEC Bongiwe Sithole-Moloi has asked for peace among South African artists, especially under the Maskandi genre.

Sithole-Moloi has called for all artists to use their music to promote peace and tolerance amongst communities.

She made this heartfelt request after a closed meeting between Khuzani ‘Indlamlenze’ Mpungose and Mthandeni ‘iGcokama Elisha’ yesterday afternoon.

The purpose of the meeting was to resolve the feud between the two artists, which has been going on for a while.

Their rivalry not only spilled over to their fans but it became a source of violence outbreaks.

During the meeting both artists agreed to ensure they longer use sarcastic and defamatory content in their songs.

‘We do not condone violence; artists should have healthy competition and not put the lives of their fans at risk.’We were even reluctant to book these artists at the same event as we feared there would be bloodshed when their fans gathered in one place.’ said Sithole-Moloi.
