THE Richards Bay Hotrod Club will host the 2016 Champion of Champions Oval Racing Event today (Monday) at the ZCBF Showgrounds, Richards Bay at 6pm.
Gates open at 8am and admission to the event is R100 for adults and R40 for children.
The V8 Sprint Cars will be the main feature once again.
These 800bhp powered race cars are thrilling to watch on the 350m tarred oval and offer plenty of excitement.
Quintin Saayman, Eugene Saayman, Charles Carlson snr and Shane Carlson are some of the top drivers in SA Sprint Car racing and feature on the 14-name entry list.
The very popular INEX Legend Cars also make a welcome return to KZN for some Oval Racing action.
Entries include well known South African Champion Seef Fourie jnr alongside Lonika Maartens and Shaun Nel as no fewer than 10 cars will be in attendance.
The National Hotrod class will present Rotary fans a chance to witness some of the Country’s finest drivers at work as the local father son duo of Neville and Jason Loosemore are up against Frans Joubert, Andries Du Preez, Lonika Maartens and Pieter Brandt amongst other entries.
Stock Rods, Ninja Midgets, 1660 Saloons, 2L Hotrods and Super Saloons make up a packed support program.
