If it did in fact come for an interview to be the ZO's new mascot, it definitely got the colours right

THE heat brought a slithery companion on Friday morning.

Spotted outside the ZO’s offices, this Spotted Bush Snake (Philothamnus semivariegatus) was close to a metre in length.

A very slender snake with a flat, distinct head and a long tail, the spotted bush snake is bright green to olive, usually with dark spots on the bars on the forebody, becoming grey-bronze towards the rear.

One thing is certain, if it did in fact come for an interview to be the ZO’s new mascot, it definitely got the colours right!
