Local models shine nationally

Winners have to do at least three charity projects in their year of reign for a charity of their choice

ZULULAND models scooped top honours during the 4th annual Mini Miss RSA and Mini Mr RSA 2016 at Wawielpark and Clementia in Stilfontein over the weekend.

These models from Trelique Modelling and Promotions Agency were among the finalists who represented KZN during the national competition.

It was a children’s competition, where the pageant girls and boys were allowed to be children at all times.

Contestants were judged on individual interviews, talent, casual and evening ramp, as well as an onstage question for the Top 5.

They were also involved in fun activities such as sport, cooking, making of handbags or pencil cases, swimming, putt-putt, go-carting, camel back riding as well as a chance for some sightseeing on a game drive.

By competition regulations, winners have to do at least three charity projects in their year of reign for a charity of their choice and the overall winner will represent SA at an international event next year.

‘We are really honoured to know that we have brought this success back to Zululand,’ said Trelique owner and managing director Angelique Wright.
