ARE you an inspiring fashion designer and want to showcase your craft to the world?
Enter the King Cetshwayo designer couture competition to be held at the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre in Richards Bay on Sunday, 18 September.
Entrants are required to submit sketches of their design (story board), a fabric swatch of the design and a biography of fewer than 20 words on the inspiration for their work.
A copy of the entrant’s Identity Document and a short biography must also be included.
The theme is Tropical Paradise (spring/summer colours), and divided into three categories – best men’s wear, best women’s wear and most creative.
Designs must be original and no purchased garments will be allowed.
This competition is spearheaded by the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre in association with the KZN Fashion Council.
Entries can be submitted until Friday, 16 September at 5pm.

Entry forms can be collected at the Boardwalk Inkwazi Information and Tourism Hub, cut out of the Zululand Observer and Bay Watch newspapers or printed off emails.

Designers need to use their own models to showcase their designs and will also be responsible for models’ makeup and hair.
The final showdown will be held opposite House and Home in the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre at 11am.
Entries can be emailed to marketing@boardwalkinkwazi.co.za or admin@kznfc.co.za.
