Goodwill Tea on the Terrace

By popular demand the annual Tea on the Terrace fund-raiser will be held at the Umfolozi Hotel Casino Resort's Jabulani Dome on Saturday, 1 October.

IN defiance of the prophets of doom who dominate negative conversation at most dining tables, local ladies are set on proving that the cup is always half full and by reaching out to the community you can create goodwill and fun.

By popular demand the annual Tea on the Terrace fund-raiser will be held at the Umfolozi Hotel Casino Resort’s Jabulani Dome on Saturday, 1 October.

In support of this magnificent venue donation, the challenge is to sell 35 tables at R1 000 per table.

The hostess then invites ten guests at R100 each, you plan a theme of your choice, serve delicious eats and sit back for a fun-filled morning having contributed your share to finance Richards Bay cancer support initiatives.

After many months of negotiation, CANSA head office in Johannesburg have agreed to sell the Helen Ludwig Cancer House in Empangeni and put the proceeds toward providing reasonably priced accommodation for cancer patients closer to the excellent medical facilities available in Richards Bay.

There is already a healthy balance in a trust account to be channelled toward this project.

Beware, the organising committee of Marilyn Muller, Jeanette Small, Mogie Govender, Judy Dearling and Lucy Steenkamp are vying for the prestige of selling the most tables and will be merciless in their endeavours.

They are planning interesting and enjoyable entertainment to enhance the pleasure of meeting up with old friends and having a relaxing morning tea.

Watch the press for further details or contact Judy on 035 7990500 or Marilyn on 083 2724166.
