AWOL is boot camp for a lifetime

The annual Empangeni event, supported by a number of local churches, caters for about 200 teenagers every year.

LOVE for community and leadership through service, are usually values and personality traits which shine through the characters of many future leaders at a young age.

These qualities should be cultivated and allowed to grow stronger through mentorship and opportunities to make a practical difference, while still being protected.

AWOL (A Work Of Love) is aimed at drawing young adults with a passion for people, faith in God and a desire to make a difference.

The annual Empangeni event, supported by a number of local churches, caters for about 200 teenagers every year.
On Wednesday, the AWOL teens walked the streets of Empangeni under the banner of Freedom Generation SA – an anti-human trafficking organisation founded by Pastor Caroline Pitout.

The team removed illegal abortion posters, illegal advertising and rubbish from the streets, while praying for and encouraging the community.
