The good ‘ole fair is back!

It’s all about the entertainment, baby..

LACE up your takkies and get ready to spend the weekend at the show grounds – the Trade Fair is back in town.

And this year the focus is firmly on the family, with a programme packed full of all the things we loved about the fair when we grew up (and a hot-shot line up for after dark too).

The fun fair, a major drawcard, has been juiced up and is sure to be a massive hit with the kids and those adrenaline junkies who can’t say no to a thrilling ride.

The main stages are going to rock for two days solid as artists and performers travel from around the country to entertain the crowds when the sun goes down, and the entire event is being capped off with a first for Zululand – a noise-free fireworks display on Saturday evening.

Petrol heads will love the FMX Red Bull Riders, hotrods and drifting exhibitions, superbike stunts, and browsing through the various ‘boys toys’ that will be on display.

Shopping galore in the main tents will be complimented by a host all the traditional fair fare that we all love – ban the diet for the weekend.

The party will start at the beer tent – an old favorite that is back this year – and then the crowds can head off to watch dancers, dj’s musicians, singers and artists on the two main stages.

Children

Gates open at 10.30am on Friday, 24 June, and the children are catered to with a host of events that will run continuously to ensure they are always occupied.

Cartoon characters will be meandering through the crowds, so be sure to have your cameras handy to catch the little ones with their favorite character.

A Kids Zone will offer face painting, balloon modelling and arts and crafts, while a jumping castle (free entry) has been set aside especially for the mini fair visitors.

The SANDF will roll into town with a variety of impressive tanks and military defence vehicles, so bring the kids along to sit under the ‘army tent’ and gawk at the impressive artillery on show.
