AFTER taking home the title of 1st Prince at the King and Queen of the Universe pageant at Protea Hotel, young model Yandisolwethu Khumalo has broadened his horizons even further.
The 10-year-old Trelique Modelling and Promotions member recently took part in the International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS) in Johannesburg and was selected to take part in the next round in New York City next July.
His New York venture could land him a spot in an international fashion magazine.
Yandisolwethu will be making the trip with his grandmother, Ningi Mthiyane by his side.
‘He’s my bodyguard,’ said Ningi, who continuously supports him in his modelling dreams.
Putting his modelling success aside, the Grade 5 pupil of Muzingwenya Primary School still makes time to put his academics and sport into focus.
He enjoys swimming and cycling and is currently a member of the Scouts.
Yandisolwethu hopes to one day play a major role in people’s lives and become a doctor.
