Neena crowned Miss Zululand

ALL 15 Miss Zululand finalists shone bright like diamonds during the finals at the Zululand Trade Fair on Friday.

But it was Neena Bezuidenhout who sparkled for the judges.

She was crowned the winner of the coveted title and was also awarded the People’s Choice Award, voted by the public through a sms and Facebook competition published in the Zululand Observer and Miss Zululand Facebook page respectively.

Organised by Trelique Modelling & Promotions Agency, in media partnership with the Zululand Observer, the event was well received by locals, with positive feedback from the panel of judges.

Taking to the ramp with confidence, each finalist wore beautiful swimwear styled and choreographed by Kevin Ellis and Gareth Greaves, and also modelled in stunning evening wear.

Encouraging ‘beauty with a purpose’, the young ladies were required to participate in some sort of community project.

Tyler Moolan was named 1st Princess and Sherise Moodley 2nd Princess.

Main sponsor Century 21 Richards Bay sponsored cash prizes to the top three to the value of R10 000.

Winners received many other prizes, including beauty and clothing vouchers, modelling training and free accommodation.

The top three winners automatically go through to represent Zululand on a bigger platform at Africa Model 2014, and winner Neena qualifies for the Miss uShaka 2015 pageant.
