The Charou is back

His famous ‘f’ bombs flow thick and fast.

AFTER a series of ‘family friendly’ shows, touring with the uncles Peru & Bala, the enigmatic and charismatic Karou Charou unleashes his brand new one man show on 28 June.

Aptly titled MA-DHIR, in this production Karou delivers what led him to become the most commercially successful Indian comedian on the circuit.

He’s back to his brash, unapologetic best, which allows him to get away with just about anything on stage.

His famous ‘f’ bombs flow thick and fast. There are no sacred cows, he takes no prisoners and warns sensitive people, with ‘no pulse’ to stay at home.

Since his last visit to Zululand, Karou has been busy building his brand across the country. He has toured Cape Town (twice), East London, Port Elizabeth , Witbank and Johannesburg.

In February this year his adult show Kama Sutra achieved sold-out status at Emperors Palace. At the beginning of April Karou also performed ‘Don’t Dalla Wid Da Masala’, to a capacity audience at the grand Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City.

MA-DHIR, which launches at Sibaya Casino on 6 and 7 June, will see Karou embark on yet another nation-wide tour. The next stop is the Umfolozi Casino where the hilarious comedian will give Zululanders their spicy dose.

As with all his shows, Ma-Dhir is not your basic stand-up comedy show. Karou is a master in the art of entertainment and he aims to entertain his audience from the time they take their seats till the end of the 90 minute roller coaster ride.

True to form he wanders of stage, to engage in unscripted yet hilarious banter with the audience. Karou loves involving the audience and this show is no different as ‘lucky’ patrons find themselves unwittingly part of the action.

Music, song, dance, magic and a bit of comedy, it’s almost like a Bollywood movie but just a few hours shorter, and without subtitles.

Catch MA-DHIR at the Umfolozi Casino this weekend. Only one show is scheduled , so its guaranteed to sell out.

Limited early bird tickets at the cost of R100 can be reserved by emailing info@boxofficesa.com with your details.
