Premier League cricket champions crowned

THE 2019/2020 Premier Cricket League season came to a premature end owing to the Covid-19 outbreak.
As a result, the KZN Cricket Union awarded the KZN Coastal Castle Premier League title to Hollywoodbets Crusaders Cricket Club, and the KZN Inland League title to the Standard Cricket Club
The KZN management committee further decided that there would be no relegation from the Premier and Promotion leagues.
As a result, DHS Rhythm has been promoted back into the Premier League following a few seasons in the Promotion League.
On a local front, RH Construction King Cetshwayo had a fairly good season under captain Jason Redinger, finishing fourth in the Premier League 50-over format.
To top this achievement, a number of district players represented the KZN Coastal Rural team in the Rural Districts League.
Redinger and coach Happy Ndlovu were also selected for the South African Rural team.
