ANTHONY Meij has been re-elected as chairman of the Zululand Hockey Association at its annual general meeting last Tuesday evening at Addison Park.
Meij emphasised that a ‘no nonsense’ approach would be followed this year relating to discipline on and off the field.
The league will start at the end of March, with all games being contested on Sundays at Grantleigh Schools.
The Zululand Hockey office bearers for 2018: Anthony Meij (Chairman), Ané Pretorius (Vice Chairman), Ailsa Blignaut (Treasurer), Lisa Whittaker (Secretary), Sam Swart (Administrative Co-ordinator) and Phakamani Mthethwa (Umpire Co-ordinator).
The KZN Country Districts office bearers are – Ailsa Blignaut (Chairperson, Treasurer and Women’s Manager), Donovan Rothman (Vice Chairman), Kelly Rothman (Secretary), Anthony Meij (Coach), Donovan Rothman (Men’s Manager).
Northerns will host the KZNCD quadrangular tournament this year with the date and venue still to be confirmed.
The ladies SACD tournament will take place from 24 June to 1 July, with the men’s tournament taking place from 7 to 15 July.
