Preparation time for NRB squad

Positive signs for Richards Bay FC

DESPITE having only a single log point to show after their first two NFD outings, Richards Bay FC are still upbeat about their chances of challenging for the top spot.

They shared the spoils in a 1-1 home draw against Real Kings in their debut match and last weekend narrowly went down by the only goal of the game away to Cape Town All Stars.

‘We are looking very good indeed,’ said assistant coach Sello Ntuli.

‘We had plenty of chances in the Cape and could have walked away with a win the way we played.

‘In fact, I would go as far as to say the present team is even better than the Thanda side that won the league last year.

‘We have lots of depth and it is just a matter of getting the right combinations and the game plan together, then we’re going to fly.’

With an international break this weekend, league football resumes for the Natal Rich Boyz on Saturday, 9 September when they host Mthatha Bucks at 3pm at the uMhlathuze Stadium.
