YOUNG Zululand rugby player Riaan Swart recently got a break in his career, provided him with an international opportunity to showcase his rugby talents.
He was selected for the Travel and Sport U19 sevens rugby side that will tour Dubai later this year.
The Empangeni learner was selected for the team after a standout performance in a tournament hosted by his school.
More than 192 players attended the tournament at Vryheid’s Pionier High School, with just 12 being selected.
The team will participate in the Emirates HSBC Dubai U19 International sevens tournament from 27 November to 3 December.
Unfortunately the high cost of making the trip (R36 500) might prevent him from going.
