Golfers chip in for Sea Rescue

Enthusiastic IVS golfers fuel NSRI efforts

NO fewer than 146 golfers braved the icy, gale force wind to contribute to the Island View Shipping-sponsored NSRI benefit competition played at the Richards Bay Country Club course on Thursday.

Not looking too bothered about the wind sweeping across the course are Preston Khomo – Port Manager, Martyn Wade – CEO Grindrod Shipping, Roelof Camminga – Island View Shipping and Thomas E’Silva – Impondo Logistics

Putting their inter-company rivalries aside and travelling from as far as Cape Town, their combined efforts were spectacular, with enough money raised to take care of Sea Rescue’s fuel bills for the next two years.
