Mancosa Rhinos have done enough

Head coach Charles Mndaweni and his men needed this victory after going down to South Coast Warriors away and beating Newcastle Highlanders at home last weekend, to secure their spot in the Premier League for next season

MANCOSA Rhinos managed to secure a crucial one point victory over Durban-based club Jaguars on Saturday in their Fidelity Security Moor Cup match played at Mick Kelly Park.
Head coach Charles Mndaweni and his men needed this victory after going down to South Coast Warriors away and beating Newcastle Highlanders at home last weekend, to secure their spot in the Premier League for next season.
They still have to play UKZN Impis away on Friday night before their season in this league is done. Then the bottom three teams from the bottom five section will be automatically relegated to the First Division for 2018.
Thus far the bottom three on the latest log are Jaguars, Newcastle Highlanders and South Coast Warriors.
Rhinos have not travelled well of late and will take on a strengthened Impis outfit on Friday evening, but this
recent bonus point win has aided their cause to remain in the league for next season.
After this campaign ends, Rhinos will compete in the Castle Murray Cup knockout league before the official end to their 2017 season.
In the earlier game played, the Rhinos second team beat Jaguars 44-27.
