EMPANGENI Rugby Football Club administrator Warren Graff arrived on the local club’s doorstep in 2008 after playing his rugby trade in Italy.
It has been a roller-coaster ride.
Now the 34-year-old George-born and raised administrator has handed in his resignation and will be working for a shipping company in Richards Bay from 1 July.
‘Having to resign and move on from the rugby position was a very difficult decision, but it presents a better business opportunity beneficial to me and my family.’
Graff, who manages the club’s affairs, will leave a huge gap, but the club has plans in place to cope with the workload for the rest of 2017.

Graff compiled an impressive rèsumè before retiring from the game in 2016.
The loose-forward captained the Rhinos First XV between 2008 and 2013, captained the KZN Country Districts in 2008 and 2009, captained the KZN Duikers in 2013, played for the SWD Vodacom Cup side in 2006 and Mogliano Rugby Club in Italy from 2006 to 2007.
Warren has gone on to winning the Castle Murray Cup with the Rhinos side in 2008, to seeing the club almost relegated in 2015.
‘I just really want to thank James McIllrath, Paul Gouge, Simon Harvey and Chirs Edwards who made my life easier at the club and taught me so much.
‘They do so much work behind the scenes that keep the club going that people do not even know of.’
