Loss puts RH Construction uThungulu in danger zone

uThungulu suffer three wicket loss to Pinetown

RH CONSTRUCTION uThungulu suffered a three wicket defeat to Pinetown in a low scoring Castle Premier League game played at Lahee Park on Sunday.

Batting first, only Gary Park (56), Ruan Janse van Rensburg (24) and Neil Jordan (14) reached double figures in the Zululand’s team’s low total of 131 runs in 38 overs.

It took just 36 overs for the home side to reach 132/7 and pick up a much needed victory.

Janse van Rensburg came to the party once again with ball in hand, ending with figures of 2/15 in 8.

Orthodox spinner Stephan Joubert and speedsters Dale van der Merwe and Freedom Buthelezi each picked up one wicket.

The local lads will be at home (Addison Park) on Sunday for their last match of the 2016/17 season, taking on UKZN.

Action is scheduled to get underway from 9am.

Apart from uThungulu looking to end their season on a high, they need to win to avoid the relegation zone.
